Popular Weight Loss Diets

People are always looking for the next best thing and when a new and exiting weight loss diet comes out, then everyone starts to follow it without thinking if it really works. If you really think about the number of diets that are around and how many overweight and obese people we have, then something seems very rotten here.

Are popular weight loss diets also the most effective?

Maybe you are one of millions of people, who have tried many diets, some more successful then others, but none of them really work in the long run. For some going on diets has become more like a habit and they are trying to find new diets constantly, but none of the really work.

The truth is that all kinds of diets, whether they are popular or not, are basically the same. All diets require to reduce calories very low because that is how diets work, they are only temporary. Even the popular diets that millions of people follow are temporary and sooner or later, when the diets comes to and end, you start gaining weight back again.

No matter how strong your willpower is, you can't stay on a very low calorie diet for too long. For example if you are used to eating 2500 calories a day and suddenly you reduce your calories to 1200, then how long can you stay on that diets? Maybe a 3 weeks or maybe 3 months, but the end result is still the same.

Permanent weight loss can't happen with a diet, this is not possible. People can't stay on their diet their whole lives. The real secret is to change your lifestyle and your habits on step at a time. Some people are used to eating healthy food and exercising regularly, others are used to inactivity and eating junk food. so slowly changing your bad habits to good habits is the key.
